Shelter were given the opportunity to have a boutique charity shop located in the new and exclusive Kings Cross shopping area, Coal Drops Yard.
As Shelter charity shops are normally located in the heart of busy communities, this stylish location presented a few challenges.
We developed ideas to tackle lower footfall, fewer ‘over-the-door’ donations and higher quality of stock needed, as well as digital engagement and extra POS donations.
A couple of our ideas are in the works, and a few have already been rolled out. Here's our stylish 'Clothes Drop Yard' donation station...
And our donation labels. I like how these allow the supporter to leave a personal message for the next owner – adding a bit of extra value to the item.
